Giving Back - The 1% Program

At the KC Auction Company we are committed to social, economic and environmental well-being in our community.

Since early in 2008 we have donated 1% of our sales total to support the following organizations.   To date this giving has exceeded $2,500.

We are working hard to enhance the lifes of others through integrity and hard-work.   We also recognize there is always more that can be done.

When you consign, bid and buy at our auctions you are helping to support the following very worthy charities:

From their center at 3039 Troost, Operation Breakthrough helps children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment.

Operation Breakthrough currently has 674 children enrolled in early childhood and after school programs.

Operation Breakthrough also strives to support and empower the children’s families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.

The American Red- Cross was on the front lines during the devistating Mid-West Floods of this summer.

Each year, the American Red Cross responds immediately to more than 70,000 disasters, including house or apartment fires (the majority of disaster responses), hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters

Home Health Kits for Nicaragua Mission Trip

Each year Country Club Christian Church sends a Medical Mission Team to Nicaragua to help provide basic care in some of the most remote villages.

During the mission teams time in the village they give out home health kits to all villagers that come for treatment or to attend a health seminar.   Each kit contains vitamins (adult and childrens), toothpaste, toothbrushes, ibuprofen, childrens tylenol, band aides and soap.

What a huge difference it makes to be able to brush your teeth or give your child pain medication when they are teething or have a fever.

After the Cyclone in Myanmar the IRC was actively negotiating with the government to get aid to victimes.
